Origins & Journey
I was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. My father, Rene Bon Echavarría, was studying for his master's degree there when he met my mother, Vojislava Ćirić.
Shortly after, our family moved to Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico (where my father's family originates), and my brother Atilano Bon Ćirić was born. Over the years, our path took us through Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, and Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, before I settled in Guadalajara, Jalisco for over a decade. Today, I live and create in Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos, Jalisco, near beautiful Lake Chapala.
Engineering & Philosophy
I am a Principal Infrastructure Architect, Systems Engineer Lead, and Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) maintainer. I work exclusively with open technologies, emphasizing technological sovereignty, deterministic pipelines, and robust zero-trust architecture across Crystal, Go, C++23, Bash, and Linux.
As an active Fedora Project packager and open-source contributor, I believe software should empower humans rather than lock them in.
Creative Commons Music
Beyond engineering, I am a composer and music producer releasing works under Creative Commons licenses. I write, perform, arrange, and master music across rock, electronica, and orchestral genres—sharing all creations freely on Free Music Archive (FMA) and open platforms.
